Silicon carbide

Silicon carbide is mainly made of quartz sand and petroleum coke smelted in an electric furnace at 2500 ° C or higher. Its hardness is between corundum and diamond, and is superior to corundum. It has electrical and thermal conductivity. It is suitable for processed metal and non-metal materials, such as gray cast iron, nonferrous metals, stone, leather and rubber, etc. It is also widely used in refractory materials and metallurgical additives. 

Silicon carbide is made of quartz sand and quality anthracite / petroleum coke smelted in an electric furnace at high temperature. It looks black and its micro-hardness is 2800 - 3300 kg/mm2. The grinding tool made of it is suitable for grinding metals and non-metallic materials with low tensile strength, such as gray cast iron, brass, aluminum, stone, leather and hard rubber, etc. It can also be used for fire-resistant purposes or in the electronic industry. 

Silicon carbide is produced in a resistance furnace at high temperature, with quartz sand and petroleum coke as its main raw material. It is widely used as refractory materials and metallurgical additives. Green silicon carbide is mainly used as abrasives to cut silicon wafers and polish ceramics.
